Aamir Khan, who will next be seen in the Hindi version of Tom Hanks’ ‘Forrest Gump’, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, will reportedly organise a private screening of his film for the Hollywood legend.
The news: A source close to the film recently hinted that the ‘Lagaan’ actor intends to hold a special screening for Tom Hanks closer to the premiere of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in the United States or travel there to personally show him the film. It’s because he wants Tom Hanks to see ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and tell him what he thinks about it.
The movie: Advait Chandan is the director of the film. Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures are producing it together. Aamir Khan will appear in the film alongside his ‘3 Idiots’ co-stars Kareena Kapoor and Mona Singh. Naga Chaitanya will also appear in the film.
- The film will collide with Yash’s ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ when it is released on Baisakhi this year. Aamir Khan stated in an interview last year that he checked with Yash before deciding on the film’s release date.
What he says: Aamir previously explained why he opted to recreate ‘Forrest Gump’ in an interview with news agency PTI, saying, “As a writer, I’ve always adored ‘Forrest Gump’. This character has a beautiful narrative to tell. It’s a story that makes you feel good about yourself. It’s a film that makes you feel happy. It’s a film for the entire family to enjoy.”
‘Thugs of Hindostan’ was the actor’s most recent film.
