The Aam Aadmi Party, which is in power in Delhi, today appealed to the people of the national capital to spread the word on social media about the “good work” done by its government as it launched its digital campaign for the upcoming assembly elections.

The news: “Fifty Delhiites whose videos go viral will be invited to dinner after the elections,” said party chief Arvind Kejriwal.

  • “Upload videos of the Delhi government’s good works and tell people how you benefited from them on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Also, WhatsApp people you know in these states, pleading with them to give Kejriwal a chance,” the AAP chief, who is also the Delhi Chief Minister, said as he launched “Ek Mauka Kejriwal Ko”.
  • Kejriwal stated that his government has done many good things, such as providing free electricity and water in Delhi.
  • “The United Nations sent representatives to observe the mohalla clinics in Delhi. The first lady of the United States paid a visit to one of our schools. Delhi now has 24-hour electricity. All of this was made possible by the fact that you, the people of Delhi, gave us a chance, he stated.
  • He also urged his party members to share such videos and help them go viral on various social media platforms.
  • “I’ll have dinner with 50 Delhiites whose videos will go viral after the elections,” he said.

Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party is looking to expand its presence in poll-bound Punjab (where it is the second-largest party), Uttar Pradesh, Goa, and Uttarakhand.

The Aam Aadmi Party is one of the main challengers to the ruling Congress in Punjab. Bhagwant Mann of the Dhuri constituency has been nominated as the party’s chief ministerial candidate.

The Delhi-based party is also running for all 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh, where voting will take place in seven phases beginning February 10.
