During the parliament budget session opposition party leader Mallikarjun Kharge pointed out the failure of BJP in not providing 2 crore jobs every year.
What he said: In his statement, on Wednesday, he said, “You should have provided 15 crore jobs by now. But how many jobs did you actually provide? This year’s Budget promises just 60 lakh jobs in the next 5 years.”
- On the other hand a debate on the motion of thanks to President Ram Nath Kovind’s address is expected soon, for which both the Houses have been allotted with 12 hours of debate time.
- It is also expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will join in this debate which is scheduled for February 7 in the Lok Sabha. The same meeting will be held in the Rajya Sabha on February 8.
After February 11, both the Houses will go on a month-long recess and will resume on March 13 which will then continue till April 8.
During the 50-minute address to Parliament by President Kovind, he congratulated India for being one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. He then also urged people to “work hard” and build a “grand, modern and developed” country by 2047.
During his speech he said, “In the year 2047, the country will celebrate its centenary of Independence. We have to work hard now to build a grand, modern and developed India of that time. We have to ensure that our hard work leads to fruitful results in the end. We all have a stake, and an equal stake in this journey.”
