Today marks the 73rd Indian Republic Day, and to celebrate this grand occasion the attendees of the Republic Day parade observed India’s military strength as well as the wide cultural diversity at Rajpath, New Delhi as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
Another delight that adds from this year onwards is that the Republic Day celebrations will be held for a whole week, that is from Jan 23-30 every year.
The 73rd R-Day parade began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi visiting the National War Memorial. He then paid solemn tributes to the fallen heroes and laid a wreath.
Also, then following the tradition, the National Flag was unfurled. This celebration then followed the National Anthem and a 21-gun salute.
During the initial part of the parade, people saw the Amrit formation by 17 Jaguar aircraft making a figure of number 75.
Then came the ‘Baaz’ formation by one Rafale, two Jaguar, two MiG-29 UPG, two Su-30 MI aircraft.
C-130J Super Hercules transport aircraft took part in the fly past over the Rajpath. Similarly ‘Vinaash’ with five Rafale flying in Arrowhead formation took place during the Republic Day parade.
The Border Security Force (BSF) rode motorcycles with Seema Bhawani team.
The UP parade showcased ‘One District One Product’ rally. This rally was based on the new micro, small & medium enterprise as well as industrial development policy by the state govt. Development in Kashi Vishwanath.
Babu Ram, Assistant Sub-Inspector was conferred with Ashok Chakra posthumously for “displaying valor & exemplary raw courage” during an anti-terror op in Srinagar.
