A video of an announcement made by the pilot of a SpiceJet flight evacuating Indians is making people salute the airlines.

What he said: “We welcome you all onboard on this unique flight from Budapest to Delhi on behalf of the entire Spicejet family. We are relieved to see that you are all safe and sound. And we admire each of you for your bravery and determination. You overcome adversity, hardship, and fear to arrive safely. It’s now time to return to our motherland.” In the footage, the pilot can be heard saying, “It’s time to fly home.”
- “#SpiceJet just evacuated our trapped customers on our first flight from #Ukraine,” stated the description of the video released on Twitter by Spicejet. “We’re on our way back to #India now. Their positivity inspired us to hope that additional SG flights would be able to assist more Indians who are seeing the violence.”
- The government of India has begun ‘Operation Ganga,’ which would see stranded Indians evacuated from Ukraine. More than 1,000 Indian citizens have successfully returned from the war-torn country as a result of this agreement. It has also established 24-hour control centres to aid with the evacuation of Indians across Hungary, Poland, Romania, and the Slovak Republic’s borders.
Meanwhile, the Indian embassy in Kyiv issued a new warning on Wednesday, urging all Indians to leave Kharkiv, Ukraine’s easternmost city, as soon as possible.
