New Zealand defeats India by 62 runs in Women’s ODI World Cup

New Zealand gets their second win of the campaign after beating India by 62 runs at Seddon Park, Hamilton.

The news: Amy Satterthwaite and Amelia Kerr helped New Zealand post 260 on board.

  • A brilliant display of pace bowling from Lea Tahuhu helped pile on the pressure for the Indians.
    Indian bowler Pooja Vastrakar took 4 wickets, and Harmanpreet Kaur played a fighting knock; however they lost the game.
  • With the second win of the tournament, New Zealand has moved to the second spot in the points table.
  • India, on the other hand, has fallen out of the top-four bracket to claim the fifth spot.
  • India clash against West Indies on March 12 in their next encounter of the World Cup.
