Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray gave a nod to all schools in Maharashtra right from nursery to reopen from Monday, January 24.
The news: The decision has been taken after the growing demand of opening schools from teachers, parents, academic experts, and others. Besides the academic loss to the students, the psychology of students was being adversely affected.
- The decision has been announced by the State School Education Minister, Varsha Gaikwad. Addressing media, she announced that students can start coming to school again.
While opening schools, the local authorities will have to review the situation. Consent of parents will have to be sought by the schools. The offline classes will be conducted by following all the coronavirus rules, Gaikwad added.
