Although the latest variant of Covid-19 Omicron is just another stream of the same virus, it has come to notice that the symptoms are quite different from the usual strain of Covid-19.
Consultant pulmonologist and bronchoscopist, Masina Hospital, Dr. Sonam Solanki, has recently spoken about the symptoms of Omicron, which one should look out for.
According to the doctor, the early symptoms of omicron start with body ache, generalised weakness, fatigue, headache, and fever in the initial days. A few days later the patient might even develop a cough and cold. This cough is sometimes dry, but the patient might also have water running from the nose, sneezing, etc. Typically, the cough would resolve over the next few days and around 80 percent of the patients, fever is resolving within the first 3 days and if not, then that becomes a sign of moderate to severe infection which needs close monitoring.
